Constant Contact—How Do I Export Contacts or Email Campaigns?

When changing to a new Constant Contact product, you may want to move your existing contact list and email campaign. You will need to transfer the information from the old product to the new product to do this. The transfer is done through exporting and importing the data.
Exporting also called downloading, is the first part of the transfer of your list or campaign. Exporting provides you with an electronic back-up of the current information in your account. Exporting does not remove it. Instead, it gives you a hard copy in an XLS or CSV format that you can open in Excel or another spreadsheet app.
Importing also called uploading, is the second part of the transfer of your list or campaign. Importing uploads the electronic back-up of the information to your account. Importing does not remove existing data. Instead, it adds the information from your hard copy.
