Marketing Hub: Creating a Google Ad Campaign

Overview

Creating a Google Ad campaign helps you promote your services or products through search results, videos, mobile apps, shopping listings, websites, and more. Depending on what type of campaign you need, it must be based on your advertising goal, brand strategy, and the amount of time you can invest.

Learn to create a Google Ad Campaign by following the steps below:

How to Create a Google Ad Campaign

  1. Once inside your Ecommerce account, click on Marketing from the left menu, then select AdSpend.

  2. Under AdSpend, select Google, then click Campaigns.

  3. Within the Google Campaigns page, click on the Create A New Campaign button at the top right corner of the screen to start creating your campaign.

    Note: If you have not connected your Google Ads Account yet, please see Marketing Hub: Managing a Google Ad Campaign for instructions.
     
  4. You will then be asked to set up a new campaign. Set your campaign budget and the name of your new campaign, then click the Create A New Campaign button.

  5. You can set up the name of a new Ad Group by clicking on the Create New Ad Group button. For more information about Ad Groups, please see How Ad Groups Work.

    Note: You also have the option to skip this step by clicking on the Skip Ad Group Creation button.
  6. Next, enter the keywords for your campaign. You can either set the status of your keywords to Pause or Enable. To learn more about keyword status, click here.

  7. Click on the Save Keywords button.

You have successfully created a Google Ad Campaign!

Note: If the status of your keywords is paused, you need to enable them in your Google Ads account.
