E-Commerce Online Store - Operations - Checkout Questions

The Checkout Questions feature allows you to gather valuable customer information during the checkout process—before the order is completed. This helps in grouping by customer behavior, improving personalization, and refining marketing strategies.

To create a checkout question:

1. Navigate to the Operations tab.

2. Click on Checkout Questions.

3. Add your custom questions and answer options.

You can create up to 15 checkout questions, each with up to 50 answer choices, giving you flexibility to collect detailed data for better customer segmentation and targeted marketing.

How to Create a Checkout Question

1. Enter the question and select the input type. The following input types can be used for checkout questions:

   • Radio Button or Drop Down: The customer can select one attribute from a list of options.
   • Check box - Single: The customer can select the option. This can be used for simple Yes or No answers.
   • Check box - Multiple: The customer can select multiple attributes from a list of options.
   • Text - Single: The customer can enter one line of text. The store owner may set a max character and line length and charge per character.
   • Text - Multiple: The Customer can enter multiple lines of text. The store owner may set a max character and line length and charge per character.

2. Enter the answers for your checkout question. Individual answers can be hidden from customers by un-checking the Enabled checkbox.

3. For the Radio Button, Drop Down, and Text - Multiple answer options, you can specify a default answer that is selected automatically. Simply enter in the default answer (for the Text - Multiple) or specify your default option (for Radio Button and Drop Down).

4. You can change the order of the answers in each question by clicking the blue arrows on the right side of the individual answer.

5. Set the question as Required, Enabled, or both.

6. Determine if a particular answer should incur a fee or not, but entering a value in the surcharge area.

7. You can preview your checkout questions at any time by clicking the Preview in a new window link.

   
    

8. Once you are satisfied with your checkout questions, click the Save or Save & Return button.
