You can move text blocks, pictures, links, and, in some cases, Site Add-Ons to another location on the same page or another page in your website.

Note: Some Site Add-Ons require you to specify an exact page location. You may encounter problems when trying to move these Site Add-Ons to another page. Review your Site Add-on agreement and setup to ensure that the move works correctly.

When you add a new page to your website, you are taken to the Add Page screen where you can select the type of page, assign a name to your new page, designate if the page should be included in your website's Navigation Bar, or choose to link to an external web page.

There are three ways to add a page to your website:

  • Click the Add Page icon in the toolbar when you are editing a page. This takes you to the Add Page screen, where you can define the properties of your new page.
  • Click the Add Page icon in the toolbar in the Site Organizer. This takes you to the Add Page screen, where you can define the properties of your new page.
  • Copy a page in the Site Organizer. This copies a page and all its contents and places the copied page after its original in the site's page list. When you copy an existing page, you are not taken to the Add Page screen.

Select the type of page you wish to add. Blank page will add a blank page with only the title content that you provide. Each of the other page choices will add a page with default sample content that you can keep or modify.

In the Page Title field, enter the name of the new page. This will be the main heading for your new page.

Select Display this page on the Navigation Bar to include a link to this page on your website's Navigation Bar. If you select this option, you can also enter an Alternate title for the Navigation in the field provided. The name you type here will appear as the link to this page in the Navigation Bar. If you do not type anything in this field, the Page Title will appear as the link on the Navigation Bar.

If you select Do not display this page on the Navigation Bar, this page will not appear on your website's Navigation Bar. You will have to add a link somewhere else on your site so that visitors can access the page.

If you would like to password protect the page, click the Password protect this page checkbox.

Once you've added a page, you can change its title, add text, pictures, links, and Site Add-Ons just as you would do with any other page. You can also move the page to another location in the site's page list.

You can add a link to another website or another page in your website, or you can add a link that creates a new email message already addressed to you.

  1. Click the Add Link icon.
Add it here buttons appear in all locations where you can add a link
  2. Click an Add it here button where you want to add a link.
  3. Click the type of link you want to create:

Publishing your site will place it on the world wide web. If your site is already published but you have made changes, you can edit the site and then repeat the steps below to update the published site.

Click the Publish to Web icon.

Add or change the categories as needed. The list of categories is on the left, and the categories specified for this site are on the right. You must select at least one category. The numbered list in the panel on the right shows the maximum number of categories you can select.

If this is the first time you are publishing the site, follow the instructions in the Publish Site window for naming and publishing your site. These instructions are specific to your online community and reflect its requirements. (If you are republishing a site, Site Builder automatically uses the settings you specified.)

You can copy text blocks, pictures, links, and, in some cases, Site Add-Ons to another location on the same page or another page in the web site.

Note: Some Site Add-Ons require you to specify an exact page location. You may encounter problems when trying to copy them to another page location. Review the Site Add-On agreement and setup to ensure that the copy works correctly.
  1. Go to the page that has the content you want to copy.
  2. Click the Copy Items icon in the toolbar. Checkboxes appear next to each item that can be copied.
  3. Select the items that you want to copy.
  4. Click the Continue icon in the toolbar.
  5. Go to the page where you want to paste the content.
  6. Click the Copy it here button where you want to add the copied content.
Note: You can also copy and paste part of a text block using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. This allows you to delete elements off your website such as Text blocks, Pictures, etc.

When you add a photo gallery to a page, all the images in that photo gallery are displayed on your website. To add thumbnails of the pictures in a gallery to a page, click the Choose Gallery button.

Site visitors can click a thumbnail to see the full-sized image.

Note: If you want to include only specific images from a gallery, you can create a new photo gallery, move the images you want into the new gallery, then add it.
