Accepting the invitation just takes a couple of clicks, and nothing else is required of you once you accept. It just ensures you have access to your account so you can respond to customer reviews, add photos, and create posts at any time.
If you do not want to manage the page, then the invitation will remain active indefinitely. If you do want to manage your page but did not receive or have misplaced the invitation, then please let us know the email address where we'll send the invitation by following How Can I Request an Invitation to Manage My Google My Business Listing? article.
How do I view my Google My Business Listing?
To access your Google My Business dashboard, log into business.google.com/manage using your Google credentials.
Why is Web.com the owner of My Google My Business Listing if I am the owner of my company?
There are four types of admins for Google My Business Listings:
- Primary Owners
- Owners
- Managers
- Communications Managers
Each listing can have only one primary owner, up to 50 managers. Think of these types as high, medium, medium, high, and low. They designate the level of access and ability each user is granted.
By creating the page, Web.com is considered the primary owner, but that is simply a Google term for the person who holds the verification status.
We sent you an invitation to become a Manager of your Google My Business Listing, which gives you all of the capabilities of a listing owner, except for the ability to delete the page or send other manager invitations. This is no problem because you probably don’t want to delete your Google My Business Listing, and you can request that we send Manager invitations to anyone else you wish to have access to your page.
Adding managers allows you to share control of your listing without having to share your personal login information. Visit Transfer primary ownership of a Business Profile for a more detailed explanation of the difference between an Owner and a Manager.
I want you to transfer ownership of my Google My Business Listing to me.
We’re happy to help transfer ownership of your Google My Business listing so you can become the primary owner. However, please note that this process may result in your listing becoming unverified, which can negatively affect your local SEO and organic search rankings. If verification is lost, you’ll need to request a new PIN code by mail to restore your listing’s verified status.
