iPage: Using the Windows Database Connections in Foundation
What is Database Connections
The Database Connection option allows you to connect to any database stored within your web directory.
Note: Setting changes may take up to 2 hours to take effect.
How to Connect to Database
- Log in to
Foundationand go to theHosting Tab.

- Look forDatabase Connections from the side menu.

- Click on theGenerate New String button.

- When you click on Generate New String, the below modal window will appear.

- Enter the following details:
- Path To Database: Enter the path of the database
- Database User ID: Enter the User ID of the Database
- Database Password: Enter the Password of the Database
- After entering all the details, theGenerate button will enable.

- Click on theGenerate button.
- After clicking on the Generate button, it will create a connection string in the text area of the Database Connections Page and displays a message.

- After generating a new connection string, you can copy that string by using Copy to Clipboard. This will allow you to check your clipboards and capture the set of codes.
- When you click on Copy to Clipboard, it will copy the connection string and display a message.
