iPage: Using the Windows Database Connections in Foundation

What is Database Connections

The Database Connection option allows you to connect to any database stored within your web directory.

How to Connect to Database

1. Log in to Foundation and go to the Hosting Tab.
   
2. Look forDatabase Connections from the side menu.
   
3. Click on theGenerate New String button.
   
4. When you click on Generate New String, the below modal window will appear.
   
5. Enter the following details:
   • Path To Database: Enter the path of the database
   • Database User ID: Enter the User ID of the Database
   • Database Password: Enter the Password of the Database
6. After entering all the details, theGenerate button will enable.
   
7. Click on theGenerate button.
8. After clicking on the Generate button, it will create a connection string in the text area of the Database Connections Page and displays a message.
   
9. After generating a new connection string, you can copy that string by using Copy to Clipboard. This will allow you to check your clipboards and capture the set of codes.
10. When you click on Copy to Clipboard, it will copy the connection string and display a message.
