How do I update my Outlook 2011 with my new password?

Follow the steps below to update your password in Outlook 2011:

  1. Open Outlook.

  4. Enter your password in the password field. Remember, passwords are case sensitive.

 

I am using IMAP, but not all of my folders are showing. How do I subscribe to all folders?

Follow the steps below to ensure that all of your folders are properly syncing between the server and your Outlook:

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click Tools and then IMAP Folders from the main toolbar.
  3. Navigate through all of your folders. Look for any that are not bold. They are likely the missing folders.
  4. Highlight any folders that are missing and not showing as bold and click the Plus button in the upper left to subscribe.

 

How do I switch from POP3 to IMAP if my account is already configured?

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to switch from POP3 to IMAP. You will need to set up the account again following the steps outlined in the article How Do I Set Up Outlook 2011 for Mac, and selecting IMAP instead of POP when you add a new email account.

 

How do I update my Outgoing Server Settings?

This is typically a result of an incorrect setting related to your Outgoing mail server. Please ensure you have entered your full email address as the username as well as the password that was set when creating the mailbox.

To update and verify the Outgoing Server Settings:

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click Tools and then Accounts from the main toolbar.

How do I Leave a copy of the messages on the server?

By default, your device is set to pull messages off of the server. You can change this behavior by following these steps:

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click Tools and then Accounts from the main toolbar.
  3. Click the account for which you are making the changes.
  4. Click the Advanced buton.
  5. Check the option to Leave a copy of each message on server.
  6. Close the window and click Save Changes if prompted.
