TLS Protocol: Sending and Receiving Email from within Gmail Web Interface
Overview
Network Solutions® now supports TLS Protocol, which allows you to send and receive emails from within the Gmail web interface. You will now have the ability to:
- Use Gmail to send emails using your Network Solutions® email address
- Grant access to your Gmail account and allow others to read and send emails on your behalf
Setting Up your Network Solutions® Email within Gmail
Follow the steps below to set up your Network Solutions® email within Gmail:
- Login to your Gmail account.
- Click on the Settings icon
, then click See all settings.
- Go to Accounts and Import.
- Look for Send mail as, then click on the Add another email address link.
- Enter your Networks Solutions® email address. If you wish, you can place a checkmark on Treat as an alias, then click the Next Step >> button.
- Enter your Network Solutions® email settings and click Add Account >>.
- Check the email address you've entered to get the code. You must enter the code on the same screen before clicking the Verify button.
- Enter your Display Name and click Next Step.
- Select the option to use SMTP servers to send through your business domain. Enter your SMTP server information, then select Add Account.
- Enter the verification code sent to your Network Solutions® email address and verify.
Your Network Solutions® email is now set up within Gmail!
If you'd like to send mail using your Network Solutions® email account (with TLS protocol), you can do the following:
- The first option is to go to Accounts and Import again within Gmail, then select the preferred account as the default account, meaning all mail will always be sent from your Network Solutions® email account.
- The second option is to select which account that particular message will be sent from when composing a message. Select your Network Solutions® email account as the sender from the drop-down.
