How Do I Set Up Email on My Android Device?

Important: These instructions were created using a Samsung Galaxy S24. The steps should be similar for other Android devices. If the instructions are not exact for your device, then we recommend that you use the settings and follow the on-screen prompts to set up your device or contact your service provider for assistance.

Follow the steps below to set up email on your Android device:

You have successfully set up your email.
  1. Go to your Settings.
  2. Look for Accounts and backup.

  3. Select Manage accounts.

  5. Select the server type. Click Personal (IMAP).

  6. Type in your email address. Then click Next.

    Can't Find the Search Box?

    If you can't find the search box for entering your domain name, you can access the settings directly through the dedicated search form.

    Troubleshooting reCAPTCHA Issues:

    If the reCAPTCHA security check isn't displaying within the form, here are some troubleshooting steps:

    • Wait a Few Seconds: After you check the reCAPTCHA box, wait for 3 seconds before clicking "Submit."
    • Update Your Browser: Ensure you are utilizing the most recent version of your web browser to avoid compatibility issues.
    • Disable Conflicting Extensions: Certain browser extensions or plugins might interfere with the form. Try disabling them temporarily to see if this resolves the problem.
    • Try Another Browser: If the issue persists, try accessing the form using a different web browser.

    Setting POP IMAP
    Email Address: The email address you are setting up. The email address you are setting up.

    Incoming Server Port: 995 - A setting that mail servers use for receiving an email. 993 - A setting that mail servers use for receiving an email.

    Outgoing Server Port: 587 - A setting that mail servers use to send an email. 587 - A setting that mail servers use to send an email.
    Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication: Yes - Your full email address and password. Yes - Your full email address and password.
    SSL/TLS: Enable this option. Enabling SSL and using TLS ensures your email remains secure. Please be sure you are using a mail app that supports TLS 1.2. Enable this option.     ​​If you purchased your email from Domain.com, Dotster, or MyDomain before they were migrated to Network Solutions, please use the following email settings:

    POP Incoming Server: pop.domain.com
    Incoming Port: 110 (or 995 with SSL enabled)
    IMAP Incoming Server: imap.domain.com
    Incoming Port: 143 (or 993 with SSL enabled)
    SSL (Optional): Enabled or Disabled
    Outgoing Server Authentication: Enabled
    Outgoing Server: smtp.domain.com
    Outgoing Port: 587 (or 465 with SSL enabled)
    Note: If 587 is not working for the Outgoing Port, try using port 25 instead.

  8. In the incoming server settings, follow the steps:

    • Enter your username, this should be the same as your email.
    • Enter your password, this should be the same as the password for your email.
    • Enter your incoming server.
    • Enter the incoming port number.
    • Secure your email by turning on the encryption. In the dropdown list select SSL/TLS.

    • Then click next.
  9. In the outgoing server settings, follow the steps:

    • Turn on the Required sign-in option.
    • Enter your username, this should be the same as your email.
    • Enter your password, this should be the same as the password for your email.
    • Enter your outgoing server in the SMTP server field.
    • Enter the outgoing server port number.
    • Secure your email by turning on the encryption. Inthe dropdown list select SSL/TLS.

  10. In the Account options, follow the steps:

    • Choose the interval to retrieve the emails from the server in the dropdown option.

    • You can turn On or Off the email notifications.
    • You can enable email synchronization.
    • Then click next.
  11. Enter the Account name and Sender name.

How to Remove your Email Account on Your Android Device

Follow these steps to remove email in your Android device:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Scroll though the list of options and tap Accounts and Backup.
  3. Select Manage accounts.
  4. Choose the email address you want to remove.
  5. Tap on Remove account.
  6. Confirm the removal by selecting Remove Account from the popup window.
Your Android account is now removed.
