Setting Up Facebook Ads

How to Set Up Facebook Ads

Important: You must set up a Facebook Commerce Manager before setting up Facebook Ads. Please visit the Meta Business Help Center Create a commerce account in Commerce Manager to create a Facebook Commerce Account.
  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click eCommerce from the dashboard's left-hand menu.

  3. Click the Manage Store button.

  4. On your dashboard, from the left navigation, select Marketing.

  5. Then, choose AdSpend.

  6. In the AdSpend dashboard, look for Facebook Ads and click the Sign in to Facebook Manager button. Alternatively, select Facebook from the left menu and then click Connect Facebook Ads Account.
  7. A pop-up will appear to confirm that you want to continue by clicking the Connect Facebook Ads Account button.
  8. You'll be prompted to sign in to Facebook. Click the Log In button after entering your email address or phone number, as well as your password.
  9. AdSpend will require access to your name, profile picture, and email address. To proceed, click the Continue as (Your NAME) button.

  10. AdSpend will request the following access permission to manage ads for ad accounts you have access to and manage your business products. Create and manage ads for your page and display a list of the Pages it contains.

  11. After you log in, click Continue. Choose the one you want to use or your AdSpend if you have multiple Facebook Ads pages.
     
  12. ​After successfully logging in, you will be directed to the Facebook Campaign dashboard landing page.​
 

 

How to Create a New Campaign

Important:
  • Create a catalog first on your Facebook Ads account, or your campaign won't work. A catalog contains information about all the items you want to promote on Facebook and Instagram. You can use your Catalog to run ads that display your items, sell from a shop, and more. 
  • We recommend keeping all your items in one Catalog instead of creating multiple catalogs where possible.

Select Campaign Objectives

  1. Choose a Campaign Objective and click Continue.
    Info: Before you create an ad, think about your business goal. Knowing what you want to accomplish is essential for choosing the right goal. Your advertising objective is what you want people to do when they see your ads.
  2. Enter the following information:
    • Campaign Name & Special Ad Categories

      • You can leave it blank and click again to deselect a category.
      • Declare if your ads are related to credit, employment, housing, social issues, elections, or politics. Requirements differ by country.
         
    • Campaign Details

      • Buying Type is limited to Auction only.
      • Campaign Objective is currently limited to Catalog Sales only.
      • Campaign Spending Limit minimum spending is $100.
         
    • Budget & Schedule

  3. Once done, click the Continue to Ad Set and Ad Creation button.

  1. Enter Ad Set Name.
  2. Select between Dynamic and Classic Ad Formats
    • Dynamic ads show different products to each viewer based on their preferences.
    • Classic ads display the same advertisement to all viewers and direct them to a single page on your website.
  3. Enter your Caption in the Ad Content section.
  4. Upload a photo, add a Headline, Destination URL, and select Button Text from the drop-down.
  5. Click the Continue to Audience button.

Create New Audience

To target your ad, you'll need a pixel or an app.

  1. Select the best fit for your ads from the two options listed below:
    • Find prospective customers even if they haven't interacted with your business.

    • Retarget ads to people who interacted with your products on and off Facebook.

  2. After you've filled out all the required fields, click the Continue to Review button.
     
  3. Finally, go over the Ad content and click Publish Ad.

  4. You will be directed to the Facebook Campaign dashboard's landing page when the ad is succesfully published.

 

How to Stop Existing Campaign

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. Click eCommerce from the dashboard's left-hand menu.

  3. Click the Manage Store button.

  4. On your dashboard, from the left navigation, select Marketing.

  5. Then, choose AdSpend.

  6. Click Settings in the left-hand menu of the AdSpend dashboard.

  7. In the Settings page, click Disconnect from AdSpend.

  8. Click Confirm if you are sure that you want to revoke access to your account.

  9. When the page loads, you will notice that the Facebook AdSpend account has been removed and is no longer visible in the AdSpend dashboard.
