Account Manager AI Assistant: A How-To Guide

We are excited to introduce the new Account Manager AI Assistant, an AI-powered tool integrated directly into your dashboard. This tool is designed to provide you with instant support and answers to your questions, helping you manage your account more efficiently. The AI Assistant can help you troubleshoot common issues, find relevant support articles, get recommendations, and connect you with a live agent when needed.

Important: The Account Manager AI Assistant is a new feature, and it is currently in its Beta version. We are actively working on making improvements, so you may notice changes to its features or interface over time.

Starting AI Assistant

Follow these simple steps to begin a conversation:

  1. Log in to your Network Solutions® Account Manager via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. In the bottom-right corner of the page, locate and click the AI Assistant Chat icon.

Initial Greeting

Once you click the AI Assistant Chat icon, the "Message Us" pane will open on the right side of your screen. You’ll see a welcome message, and the Account Manager AI Assistant will ask how it can help.

You can type your question directly into the "Ask me anything..." chat box at the bottom.

Getting Help

Simply type your question or describe your issue in the chat box and hit enter.

The Account Manager AI Assistant will respond with step-by-step instructions, relevant information, and links to helpful resources from our Knowledge Base to guide you toward a solution.

Note:
For the best results, please be as specific as possible with your questions. The more detail you provide, the more accurate the AI Assistant's answer will be. Here are some examples of good vs. bad questions:
Less Effective (Vague) More Effective (Specific)
DNS is not working How do I change the A record for my domain example.com?
My email is broken I can't send email from my address [email protected] using Outlook. What are my outgoing server settings?
I need to renew Where can I find the renewal settings for my products?

Using Tooltips

The AI Assistant window includes several interface elements to help you manage your conversation.

  1. Timestamps - You will find timestamps next to each message to track the flow of your discussion.
  2. Close (X) Button - In the top right corner of the chat pane, there is also an 'X' button that allows you to close the AI Assistant window at any time.
  3. Start Over (Reset) Button - If you wish to reset the conversation and begin a new query, you can clear the chat history. Simply follow the steps below:
    • Click the Start Over button located next to the Close (X) button, and the “Would you like to clear your conversation? Message history will be lost.” pop-up appears.
    • You can either choose one of the two buttons:
      • CANCEL – to keep the current chat.

      OR

      • YES – to clear the conversation of the chat window to begin a new conversation with the Account Manager AI Assistant.

Providing Feedback

Your feedback is valuable to us. After the AI Assistant provides a response, you can rate its helpfulness by clicking the thumbs-down button.

If a response wasn’t helpful, the Account Manager AI Assistant will offer to connect you with a live support agent.

Copying Responses

If the AI Assistant provides a detailed set of instructions or information you'd like to save, you can easily copy its response. Simply follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Copy icon located next to the AI Assistant's message to copy the full text to your clipboard.

  2. After you click the Copy icon, the icon should change to a Check icon to confirm that the content has been successfully copied to your clipboard. This state should last for 5 seconds before switching back to the Copy icon.
