Builder brands: Add HTML code to website
There are many web tools available that allow small business owners to reach, target, and convert website visitors into happy customers. Many of those web tools require the owner of a website to embed a small snippet of code into the website’s header or footer, known as HTML.
In this article, we will cover the basics of how to add HTML code or how to embed it into your website builder tool from the header or footer, as well as using the Element to embed code into a page.
Adding HTML code to the header and footer of the website builder
To add a snippet of code into your website header or footer, you'll want to follow these steps:
- Begin within your drag-and-drop editor.

- Click the Manage button in the bottom left of your dashboard.

- Select the Advanced option from the panel that appears.

- An Advanced Settings window will appear where you can add snippets of code to the header or footer.

- You can also hide your website from search engines during significant redesigns.
- You can also add site titles and meta descriptions to pages to improve your SEO performance.
- Once you are finished adding your snippets of code into the header or footer, click the SAVE button, and you're done! The elements you embed should now display according to the code.
Pro tip: If you are using a code to run in the background, like a Facebook or Google Pixel for analytics, make sure to republish your site for the code to go live.
Adding HTML code to the Pages of the website builder
To add a snippet of code into your website page body, you'll first want to make sure your builder is upgraded to this feature; otherwise, you'll be met with a prompt asking you to do so.
Once you confirm your builder's features, you'll want to follow these steps to begin adding code to your pages:
- Begin within your drag-and-drop editor.

- Click the Elements button on the top left of your dashboard.
- Look for and select the HTML/Page Embed option.

- Once you’ve selected the element, place it where you desire in your design with a click.

- On your new element, you will see </>EMBED HTML with a settings toolbar; you will want to select Insert HTML.
Pro tip: The settings toolbar items are similar to other elements aside from the EMBED HTML button and will allow you to change things such as the size and position.
- In the pop-up that appears, add your code into either of the provided areas.

- Once you are finished adding your snippets of code into the page section, click the OK button, and you're done! The elements you embed should now display according to the code.
