How to Create the First Microsoft 365 User Account

  1. Log in to your account via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. Click Microsoft Office 365 on the left navigation menu.

Creating a User with a Domain in Your Account

Follow the steps below to create a user with a domain in your Microsoft 365 account.

  1. Log in to your account via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. Click Microsoft Office 365 on the left navigation menu.

  3. In the Office 365 page, click ASSIGN FIRST USER.

  4. Select the domain you want to use with your domain-based email and choose the Use a domain already in my account, then click Continue.

  5. You will be presented with a list of eligible domains in your account.
  6. Select the domain you wish to use and click Continue.
  7. Next, you will be asked to create your first user email account.

Creating a User with a Domain Hosted Externally

Follow the steps below to create a user with an external domain name in your Microsoft 365.

  1. Log in to your account via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. Click Microsoft Office 365 on the left navigation menu.

  3. In the Office 365 page, click ASSIGN FIRST USER.

  4. You will be asked to select the domain you want to use with your domain-based email.
  5. Select Use a domain not in my Network Solutions account.

  6. Provide the domain you wish to use.

  7. To ensure your email works with the externally hosted domain, it will be necessary to take some additional steps. Select Continue.
  8. You will be provided with the DNS settings you must change with your DNS host. Follow the steps provided by your DNS host to complete this step.
  9. Once you have updated the records with your DNS host, select Verify My Domain in your Account Manager.

  10. Next, you will be asked to create your first user email account.
  11. You will be asked to provide the following information:
    Email username for the account (Example: [email protected])
    1. First and last name of the user
    2. Display name, which will display to email recipients
    3. Password for the account
    4. Whether the user will be given administrator rights
  12. Select the Continue button.

You have successfully created your first Microsoft 365 user.
