How to Create a WordPress Staging Site
You can use a staging site to clone your live WordPress website and test updates before publishing them live. Creating a staging site prevents you from making errors or breaking your website. Any updates you make on your staging site will not affect your live website unless you publish your staging site to your live site. It allows you to improve your website without changing your current live website and customer experience.
Create Staging Site
Follow the steps given below to learn how to create a WordPress staging site:
- Log in to your Account Manager via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
- Click on WordPress on the left side menu.

- If you only have one WordPress package, you’ll be brought directly to your WordPress Control Panel. But if you’re handling several sites, just click Manage beside the one you want to open. For new setups, choose Setup first to finish the initial configuration.
- Once inside the WordPress Control Panel, click on Set up staging site to prompt the process.

- You will then see a list of your live WordPress sites. Click on the Create Staging Site link for the site you want to duplicate.

- You will then see a notification stating: “Your Staging Site is being created. Please allow up to 30 minutes for the creation to complete.”
You have successfully created a staging site.
