How to Set Up FTP

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software allows you to copy files from your local computer to your website or vice-versa. You can use FTP to upload the files you need for your website.

Note:
  • If you are using the Website Builder or File Manager, you do not need to use FTP. In the Website Builder, you may upload files to your site by clicking the Publish button, and in the File Manager, you can do so by clicking the Upload button.
  • If you have a WordPress Hosting Package, it uses a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP). For steps on how to use it, please visit How Do I Configure SFTP on My WordPress Hosting Package?
