Credit Cards FAQs

If I qualify for a refund, which credit card is it made back to?

All refunds are made back to the original credit card regardless of any attempts to update your payment method after the transaction.

What is my CVV Number?

The CVV (Card Verification Value) number helps to protect your credit card from fraudulent use. Most businesses now require this number when processing a credit card transaction.

The location of your credit card's CVV number can be found here:

  • American Express: A 4-digit non-embossed number on the front of the card printed above the account number.
  • Discover, MasterCard, Visa: A 3-digit number on the back of the card immediately following the account number.

Why am I getting a 'Zip Code Mismatch' error?

This may happen when you update your payment method. To help protect against fraud, we check the billing address you provided us against the billing address you provided your bank or credit card company. If the billing addresses do not match, the transaction will not be processed.

PayPal FAQs

Can I change my default payment method without updating my payment information?

Yes, go through the normal process to update your payment method, but skip the step where you modify your information. PayPal users will simply need to re-accept the billing agreement that appears after logging in to their PayPal account.

Can I have some items renewed with PayPal and other items renewed with a credit card?

Every time you make a new purchase, you can choose your payment method. The payment method you choose will be treated as the default for that purchase's items, but the account-wide default payment method will remain the same. Setting a new account-wide default payment method will change the payment method for all existing items on the account and override any unique payment settings.

If I qualify for a refund, which payment method is it made back to?

All refunds are made back to the original credit card or PayPal account, regardless of the current billing information on file.

What is my default payment method: PayPal or credit card?

Your account-wide default is always set to the information you used when you most recently chose to update your payment method.
