CodeGuard to Xcitium FAQs

To continually enhance the services we offer, we will be transitioning from our current backup product vendor, CodeGuard, to our new partner, Xcitium.

In this article, we will answer the following questions related to the transition from CodeGuard to Xcitium:

• Will my package change, and will I lose any features?
• Will I experience a price increase?
• Will I lose any of my existing backups that are with CodeGuard?
• What happens if I don't download backups from CodeGuard before my renewal?
• Will all my current settings be copied into the new Xcitium service?
• When can I expect to see the change to Xcitium?
• Where can I find my upcoming renewal date?
• I’m happy with my CodeGuard service, is there any way I can keep CodeGuard?

Will my package change, and will I lose any features?

The new Xcitium package is intended to be an exact match for the package you currently have.

Will I experience a price increase?

Your price will remain the same.

Will I lose any of my existing backups that are with CodeGuard?

To prevent any loss of critical backups, we encourage you to log in to your account manager and CodeGuard dashboard, download any backups to your local device, and save for safekeeping prior to your CodeGuard service expiring.

What happens if I don't download backups from CodeGuard before my renewal?

You will lose all previous backup files; for this reason, we highly encourage you to download any critical backups.

Will all my current settings be copied into the new Xcitium service?

To ensure that there is no interruption with your service and to take full advantage of all the features and benefits you have today, you will want to log in to your account manager and backup dashboard and replicate any custom configurations within the new Xcitium dashboard.

When can I expect to see the change to Xcitium?

Upon renewal of your current backup service. When you renew the current backup service, the new Xcitium backup solution will be added to your account.

Where can I find my upcoming renewal date?

Log in to your account manager and view it in the renewal center.

I’m happy with my CodeGuard service. Is there any way I can keep CodeGuard?

We apologize, once your CodeGuard service expires, your CodeGuard service will be discontinued and deleted after the current expiration. We will not have any way to extend your service; however, please know that the Xcitium service will provide you with all the same great benefits and features.
