The File Manager is a powerful tool. You can rename the files or folders of your website through the File Manager.

Renaming Files or Folders via the File Manager

1. Log in to your Account Manager via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
2. On the left side of the page, click Hosting.
   
    
   • If you only have one hosting package, you will be taken directly to the Hosting control panel.
   • If you have multiple hosting packages, you will need to select a package name and then click the MANAGE button to access the Hosting control panel.
     
      
3. On the left nav pane, click File Manager on the left-hand side menu.
   
    
4. Select the file or folder you want to rename, and then click the vertical ellipsis on the far right.
5. Select Rename from the list of options.
   
    
6. Enter the new filename in the textbox.
7. To save, click the check icon.
   

Renaming Files or Folders via FTP

You can also rename your site's files or folders via an FTP client. To do so, follow the steps below. For this article, we will use FileZilla as an example.

1. Launch your FTP client, FileZilla, and establish a connection. For instructions, please visit the Powered By Network Solutions: How to Connect Using an FTP Client.
2. Locate and click on the file or folder you want to rename.
3. Right-click on the file or folder and select Rename from the list of options.
4. Enter a new file name and hit Enter.
