Add Email to Your Pixel Phone: A Step-by-Step Guide

You can easily set up your business email accounts and keep connected on the go using Pixel's user-friendly interface. All your emails can be organized in one place with the Pixel phone's support for multiple email providers. This includes adding your work or personal email.>

Your email accounts will be live on your Pixel phone within minutes by following a few simple steps, enabling you to stay connected and productive wherever you are.

Note: The instructions in this article are for setting up your email only. This article was created using the Google Pixel 8 model and running Android version 14. Learn how to check your Android version. If the instructions are not exact for your device, we recommend you go to your device settings and follow the on-screen prompts to set up an email on your device or contact your service provider for assistance.

How to Set Up Email on My Pixel Device

Follow these steps to start setting up work or personal email on a Pixel phone:

  1. Unlock your phone.
  2. Navigate the menu or slide two fingers downwards, starting from the top of the screen. Then, press the Settings.
  3. Select Passwords and accounts.

  4. In the Passwords and accounts page, press the + Add account button.

  5. Select the type of account that you want to add to your device.

Follow the steps below if you choose to use the IMAP settings for your Pixel phone.

  1. From the steps above, press the Personal (IMAP) button.

     To find your email settings, enter your domain name in the form below. 

    Can't Find the Search Box?

    If you can't find the search box for entering your domain name, you can access the settings directly through the dedicated search form.

    Troubleshooting reCAPTCHA Issues:

    If the reCAPTCHA security check isn't displaying within the form, here are some troubleshooting steps:

    • Wait a Few Seconds: After you check the reCAPTCHA box, wait for 3 seconds before clicking "Submit."
    • Update Your Browser: Ensure you're using the latest version of your web browser to avoid compatibility issues.

      POP IMAP

    Below are generic settings that should work for any email client or mobile device.

    Setting What You Input
    Username: Your full email address
    Password: Your email password
    Connection Type: Server & Port info
    POP Incoming Server: pop.dotster.com
    Incoming Port: 110 (or 995 with SSL enabled)
    IMAP Incoming Server: imap.dotster.com
    Incoming Port: 143 (or 993 with SSL enabled)
    SSL (Optional): Enabled or Disabled
    Outgoing Server Authentication: Enabled
    Outgoing Server: smtp.dotster.com
    Outgoing Port: 587 (or 465 with SSL enabled)
     

    Note: If 587 is not working for the Outgoing Port, try using port 25 instead.

    Email Settings for Mydomain Customers  

    Below are generic settings that should work for any email client or mobile device.

    Username: Your full email address
    Password: Your email password
    Connection Type: Server & Port info

  2. Type your email address in the field provided. Then, press NEXT.

  4. If you see the screen below, your email account has been recognized and set up automatically. Follow the instructions on your screen to enter more information and finish setting up your phone.

  6. Press the Security type to expand. In the menu, select SSL/TLS. Then, hit NEXT.

  9. Once all information is entered, follow the on-screen prompts to continue.

You have successfully added your email to your Pixel device.
