How to Create and Edit Distribution Lists in Cloud Mail

Managing email lists can be a real headache, but with Cloud Mail, it doesn't have to be! Learning how to create and edit distribution lists in Cloud Mail is a game-changer. This guide will walk you through the simple steps to effortlessly manage your email groups.

Important: This article applies to customers with Cloud Mail. Please check out How Do I Determine My Email Platform? to know your email version.

Select from the options below to learn more:

  1. Log in to your email via mail.domain.ext. For example, if your domain name is example.com, you will need to enter mail.example.com in any browser.
  2. Within Cloud Mail, click the Address Book icon.

  3. Click the drop-down arrow beside New contact and select New distribution list.

  4. Enter a name for your new distribution list.

  5. Add contacts to your distribution list by clicking the Select contacts drop-down or typing a contact in the Add contact field.
    Type or click the select contacts option.
    Note: When typing a contact, matching suggestions will be displayed. Click on a suggestion to accept it. Clicking the Select contacts icon will open a window that allows you to select contacts from an address book, folder, or distribution list.

  6. Once you have added contacts to your distribution lists, click the Create list button at the bottom.
    Click Create List

Your new distribution list is now saved.

  1. Log in to your email via mail.domain.ext. For example, if your domain name is example.com, you will need to enter mail.example.com in any browser.
  2. Within Cloud Mail, click the Calendar icon.

  3. You can do the following depending on the view you select:
    • Choose an appointment with multiple participants in the Calendar view (Day, Workweek, Week, Month, or Year). In the window that opens, click the More actions icon More Actions, then choose Save as distribution list. For example:

    • Choose an appointment with multiple participants in the List view. Click the More actions icon More Actions, then select the Save as distribution list option. For example:

  4. The recipients will be automatically added to the distribution list in the pop-up that appears. After making the necessary changes to your distribution list, click the Create List button.

Your new distribution list is now saved.

  1. Log in to your email via mail.domain.ext. For example, if your domain name is example.com, you will need to enter mail.example.com in any browser.
  2. Choose an email with multiple recipients from your Sent items and click the More actions icon More Actions.

  3. Click on Save as distribution list.

  4. The recipients will be automatically added to the distribution list in the pop-up that appears. After making the necessary changes to your distribution list, click the Create List button.

Your new distribution list is now saved.

Note: You must have the appropriate permissions to edit objects in an address book. View and update permissions by clicking the Actions icon beside a specific address book and selecting Share/Permissions.

Follow the steps below to edit a contact or distribution list:

  1. Log in to your email via mail.domain.ext. For example, if your domain name is example.com, you will need to enter mail.example.com in any browser.
  2. Within Cloud Mail, click the Address Book icon.

  3. Select an address book and click on a contact or distribution list.
  4. Click on the pencil icon.

  5. Update the information, then click Save.
    Click Save

You have updated your contact or distribution list.
