Forgot Login: How to Recover Your User ID and Password

With all the accounts you manage—bank, email, social media, etc.—forgetting your login credentials may happen. If you forgot the login credentials for your Network Solutions account, follow this guide for account access recovery.

Important: This article only applies to Network Solutions customers who log in via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login. If you log in via http://support.web.com/, please refer to How to Reset Password in support.web.com.

In this article, we will discuss:

I Forgot My Account Manager User ID

Follow these steps if you forgot your User ID.

  1. Go to https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. Click the Forgot User ID? link on the Login page.

  3. Enter your email address, complete the CAPTCHA, then click Next. If you forgot the email address, click Forgot Email? Search by domain and enter the domain name.

  4. Check your email for instructions on recovering your User ID. If you are not able to receive an email with the recovery link, please check your spam/junk folder. If it is not there, you can resend the email.

 

I Forgot My Account Manager Password

If you fail to remember your password, follow these steps to reset your password:

  1. Go to https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. First, enter your User ID, then click Next.  If you forgot your User ID, please see the I Forgot My Account Manager User ID section above to retrieve it.
  3. Next, click the Forgot Password? link.

  4. Re-enter your User ID. Click on the I'm not a robot checkbox, then click Next.

  5. After you click Next, you will either have the options below:
Note: If you cannot reset your password because you cannot access the email on file, you must submit a request to change the email address associated with your User ID.

Trusted Phone Number is Set Up

If you have set up your Trusted Phone Number, you will see what is displayed in the image below.

Text me a verification code link

When you click on the I didn't get an email drop-down, you will see the text me a verification code link. This allows you to request a one-time code through SMS to reset your password if you did not receive an email with your password reset link. Follow the steps below.

  1. Click on the text me a verification code link. You will get an SMS with a code to your Trusted Phone Number.
  2. Input the code in the Verification Code box, then hit Submit. Your code will expire in five minutes. If you need to resend the code, click Resend.

    Note: If you use the allowable number of resend attempts and fail to enter a valid verification code, the field to enter the code will be greyed out, and you will see the error: "Your code has expired, and no more resend attempts are available. You may request a new code tomorrow."
  3. Once you enter a valid verification code, you will be taken to a screen where you can enter your new password. Enter your new password in the empty fields, then hit Change Password.

You have successfully reset your password.

 

If a Trusted Phone Number is Not Set Up

If you have not set up your trusted phone number, check your email address for the password reset link. If you are not able to receive an email with the recovery link, please check your spam/junk folder. If it is not there, you can resend the email.

 

My Account is Locked

We will place a Login Lock on your account if you have exceeded the maximum number of allowed login attempts. This lock is implemented to protect your account from hackers and malicious attacks. To unlock your account and regain access, please contact support by clicking the CHAT icon on the lower-right corner of Network Solutions's site.
