Ecommerce Online Store - Design - Email Design
Important: This article applies to Ecommerce Pro users only.
Overview
You can design custom email forms to enhance communication with your customers. The email designs available are for Order Confirmation emails, Status Change emails, Warehouse emails, and Abandoned Cart Emails. Each email type has it's own default design that you can clone to make new designs, or you can create a new design from scratch.
Note: You can only have one (1) email design active for each type of email.

Order Confirmation Email
The Order Confirmation Email is sent immediately to your customer when they place an order on your storefront.
How to Create a New Order Confirmation Email Design
1. Click the Clone button next to "Order Confirmation Email", then click the Edit button on the newly created email design. This will open the Edit Email Design page.
Another way is to enter the desired name in the Email Name field and click Create & Edit. This will open the Edit Email Design page.
2. On the Edit Email Design page, either enter your text or custom HTML code in the Text Version or HTML fields, respectively. You can also enter nsScript by selecting them from the dropdown box and clicking Insert.
3. Once you are satisfied with your email design, you can test it by entering an email address in the Preview Email textbox and clicking the Send Preview button.
4. Click the Save or Save & Return button to finish the email design.
5. Activate your new design by clicking Activate on the Email Design page.
Status Change Email
Status Change email is sent to your customers when the status of their order is changed. You can specify the email to be sent for a particular status change. You can also send preview or test emails for any of the main statuses in your store. For more information on statuses, please see Order Status.
How to create a new Status Change Email Design
1. Click the Clone button next to "Status Change Email", then click the Edit button on the newly created email design. This will open the Edit Email Design page.
Another way is to enter the desired name in the Email Name field and click Create & Edit. This will open the Edit Email Design page.
2. On the Edit Email Design page, either enter your text or custom HTML code in the Text Version or HTML fields, respectively. You can also enter nsScript by selecting them from the dropdown box and clicking Insert.
3. Once you are satisfied with your email design, you can test it by entering an email address in the Preview Email textbox, selecting an order status, and clicking the Send Preview button.
4. Click the Save or Save & Return button to finish the email design.
5. Activate your new design by clicking Activate on the Email Design page.
You can create a status message for each of your store's statuses, customizing your design to suit your needs.
Warehouse Email
Warehouse email is sent to your customers when products in their order are tied to warehouses with settings enabled to send email. For more information on warehouses, please see Warehouses.
How to Create a New Warehouse Email Design
1. Click the Clone button next to "Warehouse Email", then click the Edit button on the newly created email design. This will open the Edit Email Design page.

Abandoned Cart Email
You can send emails to customers who have not completed their purchases. These emails are sent from the Manage Shopping Carts section of the control panel.
How to create an Abandoned Cart Email
1. Click the Clone button next to "Abandoned Cart Email", then click the Edit button on the newly created email design. This will open the Edit Email Design page.
Another way is to enter the desired name in the Email Name field and click Create & Edit. This will open the Edit Email Design page.
