What are the Calendar Settings in Cloud Mail?

The calendar settings in Cloud Mail allow you to work more efficiently, better managed, and more productively. With these, you will be able to keep track of different time zones, recall appointment reminders, and also customize your work week. Use the features to optimize your schedule quickly and never miss any important event.

Calendar Settings in Cloud Mail

  1. Open a new window in your browser.
  2. In the address bar, type mail.<your domain name>.<your domain extension>.
    For example, if your domain is janesbagels and your domain extension is .com, you should type mail.janesbagels.com in the address bar.
  3. Enter your credentials on the login page.
  4. Once logged into Cloud Mail, click the Settings icon on the menu bar, then select All settings.

  5. On the left menu, click Calendar. You will find the following functions within your calendar settings:Calendar Settings
     
    • Your week
      • Working Time
        • Start - Sets the beginning of working hours.
        • End - Sets the end of working hours.
        • Time scale - Specifies the interval for dividing the time grid in the Day, Workweek, or Week calendar views.Start, End, Time scale drop-down boxes
           
      • Workweek
        • Week start – Sets the beginning of a workweek.
        • Workweek length – Sets the number of days of a workweek.

    • Appointment reminders
      Appointment reminders settings
       
      • Default reminder - serves as a reminder for the following types of appointments:
        • A series of meetings or regular appointments
        • All-day appointments
        • Birthday calendar appointments

          To change an existing reminder, click on it. Make the necessary changes, then click Apply. You can also add reminders by clicking the Add reminder button.Drop-down boxes to set appointment reminders
           
    • Additional time zones

      Add multiple time zones for easy tracking of time differences across different regions. Select a time zone from the drop-down menu and click Add time zone to add it to your favorites. To remove a time zone, click on the x icon next to it.

    • Advanced settings

      The following advanced settings are available:

      • Show birthday calendar – displays your birthday calendar in the Folder view. Within your calendar app, you will see your birthday calendar on the left menu if the Folder view is open. If not, click the Open folder view icon on the lower left corner of your calendar app to view your birthday calendar.
      • Show reminders for past appointments – enables reminders for past appointments.
      • Automatically apply appointment changes received via email to your calendar - you will have the following options:
        • Never – when invited by an external contact, the appointment will not be automatically added to your calendar. You will have to add the meeting invitation manually via the email received.
        • Only from known senders – when invited by an external contact, the appointment will be automatically added to your calendar if it comes from a contact in your address book or someone you have added as a meeting participant.
        • Always – when invited by an external contact, the appointment will automatically be added to your calendar.
      • Show free/busy information to others - set a time when users can see your appointments in the scheduling view. To learn more about the scheduling view, see What are the Calendar Components in Cloud Mail?
      • Subscribe to share calendars - for more information about subscribing to shared calendars, please see How to Add Calendar in Cloud Mail
      • Show declined appointments - define if you want to display declined appointments on your calendar.
      • Always mark “Participants can edit appointments” when creating or editing appointments - allows participants to edit an appointment.
      • Automatically mark all day appointments as “free” when creating or editing appointments - sets all-day appointments to show as free by default.
