Simple SEO—Google Search Console

By monitoring and upholding your website's appearance in Google search results, Google Search Console is a potent marketing tool that can assist in the increase of your website's search engine visibility. It offers suggestions to increase your website's search engine visibility and delivers useful information and insights into how Google crawls and indexes your website.

Verifying Domain Name

Verifying your domain name in the Google Search Console is the first step to integrating your Google Search Console with your Simple SEO project. Different techniques can be used to verify a domain. You may either:

  1. Log in to your Google account.
  2. Access the Search Console. You can also manually type search.google.com/search-console/ to your browser without the quotation marks.
  3. Click the Domain tile to select it. In the field provided, type your domain or subdomain name. Then, select CONTINUE.

  4. The TXT record will show. Copy it by clicking COPY as shown in the image below.

  5. Log in to your Account Manager and paste the TXT record you copied. You can follow the steps in the How to Manage DNS and Advanced DNS Records article and select Text (TXT) Records or Sender Policy Framework (SPF) Records to continue the process.
  6. After the TXT record is added, return to the Google Search Console. In the Verify domain ownership via DNS record page, click VERIFY.

You have successfully updated the DNS record. Please allow 24-48 hours for the change to fully propagate.

Note: We utilized our Website Builder to write Steps 7 through 11. Kindly input the verification code corresponding to the builder you are using.
  1. Log in to your Google account.
  2. Access the Search Console. You can also manually type search.google.com/search-console/ to your browser without the quotation marks.
  3. Click the URL Prefix to select it. In the field provided, type your domain or subdomain name. Then, select CONTINUE.

  4. Collapse the HTML tag accordion, then COPY the meta tag. Do not close this page as you will need to return to complete the verification.

  5. Paste the meta tag in any text editor. Then, copy the verification code only.

    Note: The verification code is the last data enclosed in quotation marks.
  6. Log in to your Site Editor, then click the SETTINGS icon on the bottom-left navigation menu.

  7. Click Google Services, then select the Site Verification option.

  8. Click CONNECT .

  9. Enter the Verification Key, then tap SAVE.

  10. Once the verification key is successfully saved, click Publish.

  11. Return to the Google Search Console in the Verify ownership page. Then, click the VERIFY button under the HTML tag option.

  12. A message will show saying that the ownership is auto verified.

 

Google Search Console Access to the Service Account Email

You must go to your Simple SEO dashboard after your domain name has been validated in order to edit the Google Search Console portion of your business profile.

  1. Log in to your account via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. Click Marketing from the left navigation menu, then tap Marketing Tools.

    Note: Alternatively, if you have multiple Simple SEO accounts, you need to click MANAGE to proceed with step 3.
  3. Under Manage Simple SEO, click MANAGE.

  4. In the Online Marketing Hub (OMH) Dashboard, click Open under Business Profile Progress.

  5. Select the I have a Google Search Console account option. Then, copy the service account email.

  6. Return to the Google Search Console. Then, select Settings in the left navigation menu.

  7. Select Users and permissions.

  8. Click the ADD USER button.

  9. Paste the service account email into the Email field. Then, choose Restricted permission from the drop-down. Click ADD.

  10. Return to your Simple SEO project dashboard and click the VERIFY CONNECTION button in the Google Search Console section. Then, hit the SAVE CHANGES button.

Your Search Console account is now connected to your Simple SEO project. You can now access the Google Search Console tab and check your website's performance.

 

Access Google Search Console

Follow the steps below on how to access the Google Search Console in the Simple SEO dashboard.

  1. Log in to your account via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. Click Marketing from the left navigation menu, then tap Marketing Tools.

    Note: Alternatively, if you have multiple Simple SEO accounts, you need to click MANAGE to proceed with step 3.
  3. Under Manage Simple SEO, click MANAGE.

  4. In the Online Marketing Hub (OMH) dashboard, click Open under Simple SEO.

  5. Navigate and click on GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE.

  6. You can now see how your website performs in Google Search results.
