How to Merge Accounts

Feeling overwhelmed managing multiple Web.com® accounts? Learn how to merge accounts and simplify your online presence easily. This guide walks you through consolidating accounts, ensuring you have a single login to manage domains, websites, email, and other Network Solutions services.

Important: This article applies to Network Solutions customers who log in at https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login only. If you log in at http://support.web.com/, please refer to How Do I Merge Accounts?.

Before You Begin

When merging accounts, you must first decide which account to keep and which account to merge into the account you want to keep. If you have multiple accounts with Network Solutions that have different contact information and are not connected with each other, you have to merge your user IDs first to be able to merge accounts.

Important: Merging accounts will put your domains on a 60-day transfer lock. The process is irreversible, and all billing information, products, and services will be moved to the account you selected to keep. Any users associated with the accounts being merged will be deleted. So, if you want those users to have access, you will need to add them to the account you kept.

  1. Review the merge information thoroughly before proceeding. It's important to note that merging accounts is an irreversible action.

Take note of the following scenarios:

  • Account being merged has no domains – If the account being merged doesn’t have a domain, the merge happens immediately.
  • Accounts have similar email addresses – If the merged account and the account being kept have similar email addresses, the merge happens within a few minutes to hours.
  • Accounts have different email addresses – If you have an account with an email address different from the keep account, you will see that account in the warning section. An email will be sent to both the keep and the merge email addresses to approve the merge. If both email addresses don’t approve the merge within 7 days, the merge will be canceled.
