Viewing Email Messages, Attachments, and Folders in Cloud Mail

We will be discussing email navigation in this guide, specifically how to view your emails, email attachments, and email folders. Learn how to navigate your email app in Cloud Mail to find what you need easily.

In this article, we will discuss: 

How to Open an Email

Learn how to display an email message so you can read it. 

  1. Log into Cloud Mail. If it is your first time accessing your webmail, check out How to Log In to Your Cloud Mail Account for instructions.
  2. By default, you will be taken to your Mail app.
  3. Click on the email folder containing the email message. For example, if the email you need is in the Inbox folder, click Inbox.

  4. In the list of email messages, click on the email you would like to view. The content of the email will be displayed in the detail view.

How to View or Save Email Attachments

You will have the following options:

View or Save Attachments in your Email

  1. Select the email message containing one or more attachments.
  2. You will see the number of attachments an email has.
  3. When you click on each attachment, you will have the following options:
    • View - Allows you to view the attachment selected.
    • Download - This lets you download the attachment selected.
    • Save to Drive - Saves the attachment you selected to your Drive app. 

      Note: You will be able to save attachments to Drive with a Business Email. If you have hosting email, you can upgrade to Business Email to enjoy this feature.

    • Edit as new - This allows you to edit a document.

  4. If you want to view, download, or save to drive all attachments without having to do so individually, click on each option shown in the image below.

  5. If you want to see a preview of all the attachments, click on the Toggle preview icon.

Attachments may be checked for viruses before they are downloaded.

  • No Virus Found - The attachments will be downloaded.
  • Virus Scan Not Possible/Virus Found - A window will open that provides a warning. You can cancel the download.

View Attachments in Drive

Note: Drive is a feature that comes with a Business Email. If you have hosting email, you can upgrade to Professional Email to enjoy this feature.

You can also view email attachments in Drive. Below are two different options for viewing attachments in Drive.

  • Option 1 – Click the All Applications icon and select Drive.

  • Option 2 - Click the Drive icon if you have set it as a Quick Launch icon.

To view them, select the folder where you have saved your attachments.

How to Navigate Email Folders

You can find your email folders on the left menu of your Mail app. You have the option to create subfolders for each of your email folders in Cloud Mail. Follow these steps:

  1. Choose an email folder for which you want to create a new subfolder. For example, if you wanted to create a folder titled "In Process" under the Inbox folder, select Inbox.
  2. Next to the folder name, click the horizontal ellipses, then click Add new folder.

  3. Type in the name of the folder, then click Add.

  4. Based on our example, the folder you created will be located under your email Inbox. Click the drop-down arrow to expand your inbox and find your subfolders.
