How to Download an SSL Certificate

Having an SSL certificate is essential for website security. Once your certificate is issued, you can download it along with the Site Seal directly from your Account Manager. This article provides a clear guide on how to download your SSL certificate and Site Seal, enhancing your website's trustworthiness. In this article, we will explain how to download your SSL certificate and site seal from your Account Manager.

How Do I Download My SSL Certificate?

To download your SSL Certificate, follow the below steps:

  1. Log in to your account via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. Once inside the account manager, select the Security option from the left-hand menu.
    In the left menu, select Security

  3. Next, click on the MANAGE button for the SSL certificate that you want to download.
    Click the vertical ellipsis, then select Details

  4. You will be taken to the SSL Control details page, then click LAUNCH SSL CONTROL PANEL.

    Note: If you cannot see the control panel, it may be due to a pop-up blocker on your browser. Please modify your browser settings if you have pop-up blocking activated.
  5. Once you have access to the SSL Control Panel, select the Download SSL option.
    Click Download Certificate

  6. Click on Download to proceed.
    Click Download to continue
     

Your SSL Certificate files will be downloaded to your device. Keep in mind that you will need to follow different steps to install the SSL certificate on each web server. Please refer to How to Install SSL on Third Party Servers for detailed instructions on installation.

 

How Do I Download my CA Bundle

The file containing root and intermediate certificates is called a CA Bundle. These files finish the SSL chain of trust along with your server SSL certificate (issued specifically for your domain). You may be required to download your CA Bundle if you have Apache, Plesk, or other server types.

To download your CA Bundle, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. Once inside the account manager, select the Security option from the left-hand menu.
    In the left menu, select Security

  3. Next, click on the MANAGE button for the SSL certificate that you want to download.
    Click the vertical ellipsis, then select Details

  4. You will be taken to the SSL Control details page, then click LAUNCH SSL CONTROL PANEL.

  5. Next, click on the Download CA Bundle option.

  6. Then, click the Download button.

You have downloaded your CA Bundle. You can refer to the steps provided on your screen for a successful installation.

 

How Do I Download My Site Seal?

It's important to display a Site Seal that indicates your site is secured by a trusted provider to ensure that your website visitors and customers can trust that your site is secure.

Important: Site Seal is only available for Basic, Advanced, Wildcard, Extended, and UCC SSL certificates.

Here are the steps to download your Site Seal:

  1. Log in to your account via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. Once inside the account manager, select the Security option from the left-hand menu.
    In the left menu, select Security

  3. Next, click on the MANAGE button for the SSL certificate that you want to download.
    Click the vertical ellipsis, then select Details

  4. You will be taken to the SSL Control details page, then click LAUNCH SSL CONTROL PANEL.

  5. Once you have access to the SSL Control Panel, select the Download Seal option.
    Click Download Seal

  6. Click on the Download button under Regular Site Seal and follow the instructions to install the Site Seal on your website.

  7. If you want to add a lock icon for additional security, click the Download button under Special Browser Icon and follow the provided instructions.
    Click Download to continue
     

Once you have uploaded your Site Seal and Special Browser Icon to your website directory, your customers will see these visual indicators of trust and security when they search and visit your website.
