How to Connect Instagram through Marketing

Overview

Instagram lets you connect to customers just by posting events and ads related to the business. Easily create brand awareness and target your desired audience. Promote and highlight the values and products they can purchase from your store/brand. 

How to Connect Instagram

Here are the steps in connecting your Instagram account to your Web dashboard.

1. In your Account Manager, click eCommerce on the left side of the page.

• If you have one eCommerce product, you will see the eCommerce Details page.

• If you have more than one eCommerce product, you will see a list of your eCommerce products. Click Manage next to the product you would like to set up to go to the eCommerce Details page.

2. From the eCommerce Details page, click Manage Store.
   

3. Once inside your eCommerce account, select Marketing on the left menu, then click SocialBooster. You will automatically be taken to your Dashboard.

   • If it is your first time accessing your SocialBooster Dashboard, click the Let’s get started button first.
     

4. You will either have the following options:

   • If you have not connected to any of social media platform yet, you will see the interface below. Click the Connect Instagram button.
     

   • If you have connected to a social media platform (for example, LinkedIn), you will see the interface below. Click on the Instagram button, then hit Login with Instagram.
     

5. A dialogue box will appear. You will be asked to log in to your Facebook account by using the Email or Phone number associated with the account together with the Password. You can also create a new account.

Note: Your Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook account to connect it to SocialBooster. As shown below, you will be asked to log in to your Facebook account.

6. After a successful log in, you will be prompted to the page shown in the image below. It will ask for permission to link your account to SocialBooster. Click Continue to proceed.
   

Note: The Instagram account should be an Instagram Business Account. You may get an error message if the system detects if the Instagram account is a personal account. See the image below for reference. Visit this page to learn how to switch from a personal Instagram account to a Business account.

7. A notification will pop up that your account is linked to SocialBooster. Click OK to finish the additional setup.
   

8. Select the Instagram Business account you want to use with SocialBooster. With Instagram Business, you can actually have multiple business accounts on a single device and credentials. Click Next.
   

9. Determine the Instagram Business page to associate with SocialBooster by checking the box. Hit Next to proceed to the next step.
   

10. Set permissions for SocialBooster. It may not properly work if you turn off those options. Hit Done to proceed.
    

11. Success! Your Instagram Business Account is already associated with SocialBooster. You can easily manage your account using the SocialBooster platform and other social media pages.
