Cloud Mail: Open Attachments in Tasks App

In the Tasks app, there are multiple important functions that you can find there, and one of them is being able to attach and download a file. In this article, you will learn how to open attachments in your Tasks app so you can view, download, save, or edit them in Cloud Mail

How to View Attachments in the Tasks App

To open attachments in your Tasks app, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your email by typing mail.domain.ext in your browser's address bar. For example, if your domain name is example.com, you will need to enter mail.example.com in the browser you are using.
  2. Once logged in to your webmail, click the hamburger icon, then select Tasks.

    Note: You can also open the Tasks app by setting up a quick launch icon for Tasks. To do so, please see Quick Launch Icons in Cloud Mail.

  3. Next, click on the task that contains the attachment. Doing so will open the task details on the right.

  4. Click the attachment, and a drop-down menu will show the following actions:

    Note: If there are multiple attachments, an action can be done for all attachments at once. To do so, click on All Attachments.

    • View — A preview will be displayed. You will also be given the option to download the file while the preview is loading.
    • Download — Download the file to your device.

      Important: Attachments will be scanned for viruses before being downloaded to your device. If no virus is found, the attachment will be downloaded automatically. If a virus scan is not possible or if a virus is found, a window with a warning opens, allowing you to cancel the download.

    • Save to Drive — Saves the file in the Cloud Mail Drive app. For more information about the Drive app, please see the Cloud Mail Drive Toolbar.
    • Edit as new — You will be redirected to a new tab where you can edit the file.

Where are attachments stored in the Tasks app? You can open attachments in the Tasks app only if they are attached to a task. You can save an attachment from the Tasks app by downloading it to your device or saving it to your Drive app. You also have the option to edit the attachment. Moreover, If you have multiple attachments, you can execute one action for all attachments at once.
