How does Domain Validation work?
Domain Validation (DV) Certificates are issued after validating that you are the owner of your domain name. This is done by using the currently established and accepted vetting process of email validation using information from the WHOIS database. DV SSL Certificates are for individual users who do not need to meet organizational or business validation requirements.
Once you purchase an Xpress DV SSL, your certificate is issued electronically with no paperwork needed. You can simply move through the validation process using Network Solutions Account Manager.
Once all validation is complete, your SSL Certificate is ready for installation on the website. If the site is hosted with Network Solutions, much of this process is automated. If the website is not hosted with Network Solutions, please contact the hosting provider to install your SSL Certificate.
